Castra Romana is a festival of Imperial Rome set about 73 CE. The event features Roman Army Re-enactors including ancient Artillery, Infantry, Archery, and Cavalry, Roman Medical display, Roman and Ancient crafts and vendors as well as a series of lectures and demos. Extra armor is available for those who wish to Join the army. Gladiators fight in the arena, and Barbarians visit for the occassional skirmish. Family appropriate and an excellent educational outing for all!!
