L.A. Star

In 1990, L.A. Star provided a woman's perspective on the gangsta life at a time when there weren't many female rappers willing to operate in that arena. At the same time, she also included some material with a romantic side, though she couldn't afford to juxtapose vulnerability too close to combativeness.
