Carolina Crust Gourmet Pizza & Bar

The pizza is some of the best in the Charleston area. I especially love the Buffalo Blue Cheese Pizza.
I live locally and would frequent the restaurant more if the service was better. I have been quite a few times and I leave each time with the same complaint...THE SERVICE! The people that work there are more interested in each other and the "regulars" that they don't pay you any mind. It does take a while for your food to come out unless you are familiar with the workers. On several occasions our pizza has come out after people that have ordered at least 20 minutes after we did.
But like I said, if you are going for good food this is the place. But, if you want good food and friendly service, STAY AWAY because the service is not so friendly.

Please don't believe jb25's review. Not sure where they were but not Carolina Crust. The pizza has always been very, very, good. No it's not Papa Johns, it's real pizza. Try the white pizza. The salads are a good size and we especially like the spinach salad. It's kid and pet friendly on the patio. Do try it!

We have eaten at Carolina Crust on several occasions and have had almost everything on the menu. We have never been disappointed. I really like a nice crispy crust and Scott (the owner) and the staff have always made my requests with a smile. I will say when they first opened some of the staff wasn't the best but as with all new restaurants it takes a little while to get the kinks worked out. They have great specials; happy hour, ladies Wed. 1/2 price martinis, and of course something fun for the weekend like live music out on the patio. I would highly recommend the BBQ Chicken pizza it is one of our favorites!!! A great place to go with the family or just the adults. Check it out you won't be sorry! :~)

Was here as a first date.Salad was old and boring.Pizza came after an hour and there were only two tables.No wine list because they didn't have any.Waitstaff rude and lazy.

I went to Carolina Crust twice last week for their wonderful pizzas. I have long searched for a decent pizzeria in the area. I lived in Italy for two years, so I have been very frustrated with the typical american pizza. Carolina Crust definitely delivers a knock out punch with their pizzas. They offer thin crust true to italian style with a very favorable red sauce!
The ambient is also very charming. The staff is fun and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun place to take a date or to grab some beers with some friends.
