Raoul Wallenberg Tribute

Thursday, Aug 15, 2013 7:00p
Charleston JCC Charleston, SC

The Charleston community honors Raoul Wallenberg on the 101st anniversary of his birth. Wallenberg saved nearly 100,000 Hungarian Jews during Holocaust, yet his life and disappearance are filled with unanswered questions. Why did this Christian Swedish diplomat risk his life to save others? What was his ultimate fate?

Dr. Jonathan Adelman, professor at the School of International Studies, University of Denver, revisits Wallenberg's place in history and the importance of continuing his legacy.
