Maybe quaint, just short of charming, the menu is interesting; I'll never go there again. They don't know how to work their register. The last three times I've been there taking a credit card was an elaborate ordeal. In the most recent incident it seems likely that I've been charged multiple times. They were not only unapologetic, but slightly rude about the incident in the restaurant and when I called to clear up the matter. in brief: customers don't like it when you inconvenience them, over-charge them, and don't seem to care enough to apologize or make a solid assurance that the matter has been corrected.

This had to be the best Sunday Brunch my wife and I have eaten in a long time. If you can find parking eat here. If you can't find parking, park elsewhere and walk to the diner you won't be unhappy. The chicken and waffles were the best I had, and my wife’s cranberry and walnut pancakes were simple but over the top with fruit and nuts. Being critical on service, quality, quanity, and price as I am, I highly recommend this diner.

We weren't sure what to expect; it being an old Alex's. What we found was great food, at a great price, big portions, wonderful staff. The Early Bird has an usually "funkiness" that reminds me of New Orleans;but food that is definitely "low country". We left full "as ticks". Give the Early Bird diner a try...you won't be dissapointed!

This place is adorable! While the exterior makes it easy to miss, you'll be pleasantly surprised once you step inside. The owners have added some local art and a classic Pac Man arcade in the corner. It almost reminds me of the "classic" diner that Marty McFly visits in Back to the Future 2. I tried one of the specials of the day; sausage and shrimp, with roasted red peppers over Adluh grits, covered in red-eye gravy! Amazing! There standard breakfast is apparently to die for as well. Check it out.
